While it’s always a treat to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade every year, you can always be sure that something will go wrong.
Last year, it was the Monkey D. Luffy balloon deflating in the middle of the parade, much to the chagrin of One Piece fans everywhere.
This year? Aside from the rain, the biggest left turn we’ve gotten so far has been the Bluey balloon popping before the parade. On Wednesday, the character’s balloon popped when the balloons were being inflated.
EVERY BALLOON INCLUDED: Here are all 22 of the balloons included in the parade
This could’ve ended terribly. Think about all the kids who were promised they’d see Bluey flying in the sky on Thursday. They might riot if she isn’t there!
Look at this. You can hear all the disappointment and terror in all the kid’s voices as she loses air.
“Bluey went Ka-Bluey.” Hey, mom. You’re not helping right now.
Luckily for us (and all those parents out there who may have had a Thanksgiving mutiny on their hands), parade workers got Bluey patched up and inflated before the parade.
Here’s more from NBC New York.
“Those who saw it happen described it as a loud pop, and then a gust of wind in their face. They also said parade volunteers or workers told them the balloon would be patched and ready to go for Thursday’s spectacle.”
Today she looks as good as new!
