Class of 2025 Nebraska football commit Bear Tenney decommitted from the Huskers on Tuesday evening. He made the announcement on X.
Tenney is the 38th overall tight end in the 2025 class and the eighth overall player in his class from the state of Utah per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He initially committed to Nebraska on April 25.
The tight end played at Lone Peak High School in Utah this season. It was his third high school in three seasons. In 2022, he played for Chandler High School out of Arizona; in 2023, he played for Lucas Lovejoy High School in Texas.
The 2025 Nebraska football recruiting class still has a ton of talent. The class itself has 19 commitments, and Early Signing Day is next week. It will be interesting to see where the remaining recruiting dominoes fall.
After much thought, prayer, and conversations with my family, I have decided to reopen my recruitment and decommit from the University of Nebraska.
This decision was not easy, and it comes with the utmost respect for Nebraska’s program, staff, team, and everything they represent. pic.twitter.com/YXre2AcTwL— Bear Tenney (@BearTenney) November 27, 2024
