The Tennessee Titans are coming off their biggest victory of 2024 with their 32-27 win over the Houston Texans and are riding high.
Now, as they begin preparations for Week 13, they received some good news on the health front. On Monday, head coach Brian Callahan announced that the team was opening the 21-day practice window for cornerback Chidobe Awuzie to potentially return from injured reserve.
Awuzie, who was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 4 with a groin injury, can now start working his way back into the lineup in a secondary that has been ravaged by injuries this season.

The potential return of Awuzie could be a huge boost for the secondary during the stretch run. While youngsters Jarvis Brownlee Jr. and Darrell Baker Jr. have played well, adding a veteran the caliber of Awuzie at this point of the season will help offset the loss of L’Jarius Sneed to his quad injury.
2024 has been a disappointment for Awuzie, who signed a three-year, $36 million contract during free agency. The veteran was brought in with Sneed to help solidify the unit and give the Titans one of the better cornerback tandems in the league. Unfortunately, that plan lasted only three games before Awuzie was shelved with a groin injury.
With Brownlee and Baker playing well, the Titans do not have to rush Awuzie back into the fold, and Callahan cautioned that he may not be activated for Week 13. But the sooner he gets back, the better. The Titans need all the healthy bodies they can get.
