This Friday night in Kinnick Stadium just got turned up a few notches.
The Iowa football X account announced that it is going to be a “Black Friday Blackout” in Kinnick Stadium on Friday night. The post urges fans attending to dress accordingly in all-black attire.
The Iowa Hawkeyes are also going to be donning their all-black uniforms when they take the field versus the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the season finale. The short graphic highlights Iowa wearing its all-black uniforms.

The Hawkeyes have broken out this uniform variation once this year and it proved to be rather successful. Iowa broke out the black pants when they hosted the Wisconsin Badgers.
Iowa ran away with this game en route to a 42-10 domination over the Badgers.
The all-black attire for the fans should also allow many more to bundle up as much as possible as it is going to be necessary to stay warm.
Temperatures in Iowa City on Friday are expected to stay below freezing the entire day. The temperature at kickoff is going to be around 20 degrees Fahrenheit and dropping.
Windchills, which will come into play as winds up to 15mph with gusts up to 26mph are expected, will drop things to feeling like a chilly 10 degrees and below for most of the evening.
