Philadelphia’s star safety Reed Blankenship was forced to exit the Eagles game vs. the Los Angeles Rams with a shoulder injury

“This story was updated to add new information.”

The Eagles are in Los Angeles for a critical Sunday game against the Rams, and could be forced to finish without star safety Reed Blankenship.

Blankenship was forced to exit the game on Philadelphia’s first defensive series after suffering a shoulder injury while colliding with cornerback Darius Slay while making a tackle on Rams running back Kyren Wiliams.

Blankenship has 38 tackles, three interceptions, and five passes defended in ten of the eleven games played this season, and he was replaced in the secondary by Tristin McCollum.

Update:

After a brief hiatus, Blankenship has returned to the lineup.
