First half recap: Seahawks lead the Cardinals 7-3

Another week and yet another slow start for the Seattle Seahawks and their offense. Week 12 between the Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals has become quite a defensive struggle, which is what the last two games between these teams at Lumen Field were.

The game started with six-consecutive drives ending in punts. Arizona struck first blood on their fifth possession of the day, with a 35-yard field goal. Seattle responded with another punt of their own. However, the defense, which has been playing outstanding today, held their own once more.

The Seahawks offense finally got things cooking right before the two minute warning, when Geno Smith hit Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a 46-yard reception to set Seattle up at Arizona’s 3-yard line. Two plays later, Smith and JSN sealed the deal with a touchdown.

The Cardinals, in their final possession of the half could not do much with limited time, and punted once more. In this game, there have been nine combined punts. The only time
