LSU football made headlines once again on the recruiting trail.
Solomon Thomas, currently committed to Florida State, will be visiting Baton Rouge on Saturday.
Ranked sixth nationally and fifth in the SEC, LSU’s 2025 recruiting class includes two five-stars and holds potential for other commits to be upgraded.
The five-star offensive lineman announced his intention to join the Seminoles in December 2023 but took an official visit to LSU in June.
FSU head coach Mike Norvell fired three assistant coaches, including offensive coordinator and line coach Alex Atkins.
Thomas, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, stands at 6-foot-3.5 and 315 pounds. He is the No. 32 overall prospect in the class of 2025 and the No. 2 offensive lineman.
LSU is looking to bolster its interior offensive line after guard Devin Harper flipped to Ole Miss last week.
On3 scouts report that Thomas “plays with a physical edge and works to finish blocks,” and “has the skill level to potentially get on the field early in his college career given his strength and battle-tested resume.”
