The No. 4 Auburn Tigers earned its third win of the 2024-25 season on Wednesday, taking down Kent State, 79-56 at Neville Arena in Auburn.
Auburn (3-0) got off to a hot start by racing out to a 30-8 lead with 7:10 to go in the first half. Auburn then hit a mid-game lull by allowing Kent State (2-1) to cut the lead to 41-37 with 15:38 remaining in the game before going on a surge that ended with a 23-point victory.
Auburn’s three-point shooting was off as they shot just 25% from beyond-the-arc, but four Tigers still managed to reach double-figures in the game led by and 18-point effort by [autotag]Chaney Johnson[/autotag] and [autotag]Johni Broome[/autotag]. Broome also logged 12 rebounds to secure his first double-double of the season.
