Indianapolis Colts vs Jets recent matchup history

The Indianapolis Colts take on the Jets in Week 11, so let’s take a look back at the recent matchup history between these two teams.

The Indianapolis Colts will take on the New York Jets in Week 11, making this the first time that the teams have met since 2021.

This will also be the first time that the Colts have traveled to New York to face the Jets since the 2018 season.

This year specifically, the Colts will enter this game on a three-game losing streak. In the midst of their most difficult stretch on the 2024 schedule, the Indianapolis defense has held up well against some very good offenses.

However, the Colts’ own offense, the passing game in particular, has had almost no ability to get going. But even so, head coach Shane Steichen told the media on Monday that the team will continue to stick with Joe Flacco as the quarterback, despite being responsible for six turnovers and the offense mustering just 26 total points over the last two weeks.

Yet, even at 4-6 on the season, the Colts still somehow remain in the playoff mix, in large part because the teams around them–Denver, Cincinnati, and the Jets–all continue to lose as well.

Although the Jets are loaded with talent on both sides of the ball, that isn’t translating to wins. New York will enter this game at 3-7 with their offense going through its own struggles and the defense not performing as well as it did a season ago.

While of course, past results between these two teams have no bearing whatsoever on Sunday’s outcome, let’s take brief lookback at the matchup history between these two organizations.

Nov. 4, 2021: Jets 30, Colts 45
Sept. 27, 2020: Jets 7, Colts 36

Dec. 5, 2016: Colts 41, Jets 10
Sept. 21, 2015: Jets 20, Colts 7

The Colts lead the all-time series against the Jets with a record of 44-32-0.
