Texas A&M rises in the newest US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 11

Texas A&M rose one spot in the newest US LBM Coaches Poll after the bye week

Texas A&M (7-2, 5-1 SEC) is back atop the SEC standings after another chaotic finish in SEC play, as the Georgia Bulldogs loss at Ole Miss resulted in a major shift in the conference, while Tennessee is now tied with the Aggies at 5-1 in SEC play.

Amid A&M’s Week 11 bye week, head coach Mike Elko and his staff were focusing on fixing the issues on offense and defense that resulted in the blowout loss to South Carolina just a week ago. These included 25 missed tackles and the lack of production in the passing game with QB Marcel Reed under center.

However, losing junior running back Le’Veon Moss, who sustained a season-ending knee injury against the Gamecocks, has thrown a wrench in the Aggie offensive game plan. Junior back Amari Daniels and senior EJ Smith will now take over as the only scholarship running back remaining on the roster.

With Georgia’s loss, several SEC teams, including Texas A&M, saw a bump in the newest US LBM Coaches Poll rankings.
