Where’s LSU football in latest College Football Playoff bracket? Full playoff picture

LSU landed 15th in the latest College Football Rankings. Here’s the playoff picture for the Tigers.

The first College Football Playoff rankings were released on Tuesday night with LSU coming in at No. 15. For the Tigers, it’s one spot back of where they sit in the AP Poll.

There aren’t any surprises with LSU’s ranking. LSU sits just in front of Ole Miss, who it beat. And just behind Texas A&M, who the Tigers lost to in College Station.

LSU is three spots away from being in the field. That puts LSU in striking distance and control of its own destiny. If LSU beats Alabama on Saturday, LSU adds another resume-building win and has a path to the SEC title.

If LSU makes the SEC Championship game, it’s win and in. That would give LSU a first-round bye as well.

But for now, the road is simple for Brian Kelly and LSU: win and the rest will take care of itself.
