Martinsville Speedway is next for the NASCAR Cup Series, and Joe Gibbs Racing will lead the field to the green flag. [autotag]Martin Truex Jr.[/autotag] won the pole for the 2024 Xfinity 500 at Martinsville this weekend. Chase Elliott will join Truex on the front row for Sunday afternoon’s event. It is Truex’s first pole position of the 2024 NASCAR season.

William Byron and Chase Briscoe will follow the two drivers on the second row. Most notably, Daniel Suarez, Ross Chastain, Kyle Busch, Chris Buescher, Tyler Reddick, and Denny Hamlin all qualified 20th or worse for Sunday’s event. Hamlin, who will start in 37th place, is the worst of the playoff drivers not locked into the Championship 4 after wrecking in practice.
