The Washington Huskies haven’t had the best injury luck in 2024, as coach Jedd Fisch’s team has been bitten by the injury bug at seemingly every position, and on Thursday, he was quick to rule out three players.
“[Zach] Durfee is out for Saturday, Quentin Moore is out, and Kevin Green Jr. is out, I think that’s it for guys that are officially ruled out at this point in time that haven’t been on the season-long injury report,” Fisch said on Thursday.
Here’s where each of them stand.
EDGE Zach Durfee
This is a step in the wrong direction for Durfee, who is battling turf toe in both feet. Against Indiana, the senior was unable to suit up after testing the injury in a pregame workout and will now miss his third consecutive game.
TE Quentin Moore
Moore hasn’t been able to play since Washington’s season opener against Weber State, where he suffered what Fisch has called a “substantial” MCL injury. It didn’t require surgery to correct, but because of all the time he’s missed, Moore is now eligible to apply for a medical redshirt.
WR Kevin Green Jr.
Green, who suffered an injury in Washington’s fall preview, is also eligible to apply for a medical redshirt, as he hasn’t seen the field yet this season. Fisch had previously stated that the coaching staff hoped to get him medically cleared for this game, but he’ll have to wait at least another week to make his Husky debut.
