A 6-2 record isn’t where the Alabama Crimson Tide hoped to be at this point in the season, but they still control their path to the Playoffs and that’s not a bad place to be. Winning their four remaining games will be no easy task with LSU, Oklahoma, Mercer and Auburn on the slate. However, the Tide are coming off their best performance of the season and will be on bye this weekend with a chance to get healthy.
The defense is coming off their best performance of the season and they were finally able to establish a dominant rushing attack against Missouri. Both of which will be crucial in their trip to Baton Rouge on Nov. 9.
ESPN’s Playoff Predictor gives Alabama a 53% chance to make the first-ever 12-team Playoff. It’s good for the fourth-best odds in the SEC and 12th overall. It’s hard to imagine anyone gets in with three losses, so ESPN is essentially saying Alabama has a coin-flip chance at running the table.
Kalen DeBoer and the coaching staff seem like they are finally starting to establish themselves despite the early season criticism.
