The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are missing the play of Chris Godwin on the field as they progress through the 2024 season. After losing him due to a dislocated ankle in Week 7, Chris Godwin seemed ready to work toward a return.
His reaction on Monday night against the Ravens reminded fans why they love him, and they showed that love and support in the following days.
Chris Godwin has a foundation called the Team Godwin Foundation, which focuses on improving the lives of rescue animals. On Monday night, Godwin’s foundation had a gala night, and despite his recent surgery, he was not going to miss it.
At his gala, Godwin acknowledged that fans donated over $15,000 following his injury and expressed his appreciation for it.
“Honestly it really, it really touched my heart, I think that was probably like the thing that I was most encouraged by, was just the outpour of love…”
Credit goes to Bucs fans for the support of Godwin, and more credit goes to the Bucs wide receiver for being someone the fanbase can support and feel good about on a genuine level.
