2025 4-star WR and Texas A&M recruiting target has decommitted from Florida State

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class could be close to adding another top wide receiver commit

Texas A&M’s 38-23 Week 9 win over the LSU Tigers was one for the record books. After trailing 17-7 in the first half, head coach Mike Elko and defensive coordinator Jay Bateman made the necessary defensive adjustments.

At the same time, backup quarterback Marcel Reed led the Aggies five consecutive scoring drives while running for three touchdowns.

However, Texas A&M’s wide receivers weren’t very involved in the offense due to a lack of production in the first half paired with success on the ground. Talent is needed at the position, and future help could be on the way as one of the top receivers in the 2025 recruiting class, 4-star CJ Wiley, has decommitted from Florida State.

After attending the game on Saturday night, this isn’t a coincidence, as Elko and his staff have been in contact with Wiley for the last couple of months, hoping to flip his commitment and add a third wide receiver prospect in the 2025 cycle.

According to 247Sports, Wiley is currently positioned as the 134th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 18th-ranked wide receiver prospect, and the 19th-ranked prospect in Georgia.
