For a team that is 0-4 away from home, the Washington Huskies have arguably the nation’s most difficult road schedule, according to the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Although Washington’s two remaining road opponents remained stagnant in the poll, it doesn’t make the challenge ahead any easier, especially after coach Jedd Fisch’s team started slow on the road once again before eventually falling 31-17 to the No. 13 Indiana Hoosiers.
After the Huskies take on USC on Nov. 2, they will take their final cross-country trip of the season to take on No. 3 Penn State for the Nittany Lions’ annual “White Out” game. Then, they’ll end the season by taking a trip to Eugene to face off with the top-ranked Oregon Ducks.
It feels like the Huskies are a far cry from their 2-0 start when they were ranked No. 22 in the poll before suffering an Apple Cup loss to the Washington State Cougars, who, at 7-1, have taken that spot in the rankings.
With a grueling stretch ahead, Fisch’s coaching staff has plenty of work to do to finish the season off on the right note.
