‘The Voice of the Browns’ honored at Huntington Bank Field

The Voice of the Browns will forever ring through the franchise.

After his death on Saturday, the Cleveland Browns are mourning the loss of long-time announcer Jim Donovan.

Donovan, who beat cancer last year, announced before the season that he would be forced to retire as his cancer had returned. Andrew Siciliano, formerly of NFL Network has taken over for Donovan in the booth. Still, his impact on the franchise and in the ears of many listeners will ring on forever.

Now set to take on the Baltimore Ravens, the Browns have set up a station in the press box for the man coined “The Voice of the Browns” in his honor.

The Browns do not have much to play for at this point in a 1-6 start to their year, but losing their heart soul, and voice is as good of a thing to play for as any. This one is for Jim.
