Updated SEC football standings after Week 9’s action

Here is how the SEC standings look after Week 9.

Week 9 of the 2024 SEC football season has now officially come to a close, which means that only one team from the conference now remains unbeaten in SEC play.

With the top two teams in conference play having played each other this past Saturday, let’s take a look at who sits atop the SEC standings now as we look ahead to Week 10:

Updated SEC Football Standings after Week 9

1. Texas A&M (5-0)

2. Georgia (4-1)

T-3. Texas, Tennessee, LSU (3-1)

T-6. Alabama, Arkansas (3-2)

T-8. Missouri, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Florida (2-2)

12. South Carolina (2-3)

T-13. Oklahoma, Auburn (1-4)

15. Kentucky (1-5)

16. Mississippi State (0-5)

After Week 9, Texas A&M is the lone team undefeated in conference play, as the Aggies defeated also previously unbeaten LSU on Saturday night, 38-23.

Alabama also remains largely on the outside-looking-in when it comes to a potential SEC Championship Game appearance, as the Crimson Tide will still need to win-out, as well as receive help from others. However, a win over LSU in their next contest, which is one of the teams ahead of them in the standings, would certainly help those chances.
