Now seven games into the Indianapolis Colts NFL season–nearly at the halfway mark–the stats and figures that we look at on a weekly basis are really starting to carry some weight.
We are beyond the point of their being a small sample size that can skew the numbers, whether that be in a positive or negative direction.
Certainly there is still a lot of football left to be played, which means there is time for improvements in all aspects, but at this stage of the season, the numbers largely represent who this Colts team is at this time.
When it comes to all the information and data that is out there, it can be easy to get bogged down by it all. So in an effort to not go on and on and on, I boiled down my stat selection to the basics of football: run game performance, passing game performance, pressures, turnovers, third down and red zone success, and of course, points.
