The moment has finally come for LeBron James and Bronny James.
After the Los Angeles Lakers selected the former USC guard with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, the rookie is expected to officially make his pro debut when his team begins the regular season.
Fans recently learned, per ESPN’s Shams Charania, that the 20-year-old son of LeBron is expected to make his debut “as soon as opening night” against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
But when during the game might history happen for the father and son? According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, there is a specific moment when fans may want to pay attention.
"I would expect, as long as the game is going okay, be in your seat at the start of the 2nd quarter."

Windhorst added that while the Lakers have not revealed their plans for how they will use LeBron and Bronny, they have “shown their hands” a bit.
He added:
“I would expect as long as the game is going OK, be in your seat at the start of the second quarter. That’s when JJ Redick did this in the preseason to start the second quarter.”
According to Windhorst, it’s clear to Redick that this moment is “energizing” LeBron, which is good for the Lakers.
So if you are watching the game tonight and want to know when LeBron and Bronny will finally play at the same time, pay extra close attention at the end of the first going into the second quarter.
