In the highly-anticipated Super Bowl rematch between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, the first two dominoes to fall for each side were turnover between the quarterbacks.
Following an interception by Justin Reid on an ugly throw from Brock Purdy, the 49ers’ defense answered the bell with the Chiefs threatening.
With the Chiefs just outside the red zone, defensive tackle Kalia Davis got his hands in the passing lane and tipped a ball from Patrick Mahomes. With the ball fluttering through the air, Davis came down with it to secure the first interception of his career.
