Falcons TE Charles Woerner cleared to return after head injury

Falcons TE Charlie Woerner exited the game in the first half due to a head injury.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Charles Woerner went down with a possible head injury just before halftime of Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Woerner is the second Falcons player to be injured so far after center Ryan Neuzil temporarily left the game in the first half.

Woerner was evaluated for a concussion but ultimately cleared to return to the game early in the second half. The blocking specialist plays a key role on the Falcons offense, so they’re happy to have him back.

Atlanta currently trails the Seattle, 17-7 in what is shaping up to be one of the more difficult games of the season so far for them.
