Notre Dame football will be missing a contributor against Georgia Tech

The hits keep coming for the Irish

News came out that Notre Dame defensive lineman [autotag]Jayson Onye[/autotag] didn’t played last week due to a personal matter, which still seems to be ongoing.

Unfortunately, that means that the Irish will be without their senior contributor as reported by On3’s Tyler Horka, who has 1.5 sacks on the year along with seven tackles. While Onye continues to be listed on the depth chart, his absence will give way for Armel Mukam and Donovan Hinish to get more reps this weekend against Georgia Tech.

It seems as if this has been a never ending story for Notre Dame this fall, as they have been hit with multiple players not suiting up for a variety of reasons. This news comes a few days after the Irish lost its best cornerback, Benjamin Morrison for the year with a hip injury.

Obviously others will have to step up, as Notre Dame has also lost Jordan Botelho and Boubacar Traore along the defensive line.
