All the talk surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback position this week has centered on Justin Fields. But as much as we can sympathize with Fields potentially losing his starting job after leading the Steelers to a 4-2 record, we haven’t really talked much about the tremendous amount of pressure that now falls on the shoulders of Russell Wilson should he get the start against the New York Jets on Sunday night.
But NFL analyst Chris Broussard is talking about it and he nailed it perfectly on the potential of Wilson starting.
“He better win.”
It really is that simple for Wilson and the Steelers. Pittsburgh knows they can go back to Fields and get similar production with the chance to improve when players get healthy. The Steelers know what they have with Fields so everything is on Wilson to show we can give Pittsburgh something more, presumably with his arm.
Russell Wilson tops @Chris_Broussard's BUD list entering Week 7:
