The Oregon Ducks hold the crown for best uniforms in the college football world, and they have for quite some time. When that’s the case, you tend to see opponents try to match your level when they play you.
We saw it last week with the Ohio State Buckeyes breaking out the icy-white alternative uniforms against the Ducks, and we’re seeing it this week against the Purdue Boilermakers.
On Tuesday, Purdue announced it will unveil alternate all-black uniforms with new helmets that feature script writing and gold face masks.
To announce the uniforms, the Boilermakers used a classic quote from Bane in “The Dark Knight Rises”: “You think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it. Molded by it.”
Purdue’s jerseys feature gold numbers on the front with a black top and black pants.
We don’t yet know what uniforms Oregon will wear Friday night. The outfit will be unveiled on Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT. However, we know the Ducks will have FEBU on their feet, with the exclusive “Oregon FEBU Dunks” broken out for this game, emphasizing the need to block out outside noise.
