Game time announced for No. 2 Oregon Ducks vs. No. 22 Illinois Fighting Illini

The game time has been set for this top-25 showdown between Oregon and Illinois.

The Oregon Ducks just won the biggest game in Autzen Stadium history with a 32-31 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the next time they strap them up in Eugene will likely be another top-25 showdown.

On Saturday, October 26, the No. 22 Illinois Fighting Illini will travel to Eugene to take on the red-hot Ducks. It was announced on Monday that this game will be a 12:30 p.m. PT matchup, aired on CBS.

This will be just the fourth time that Oregon and Illinois have ever played, with the Ducks currently holding a 2-1 series lead, winning the last two meetings in 1993 and 1995.

Illinois has been one of the more surprising teams in the Big Ten this year, led by Bret Bielema and quarterback Luke Altmeyer, who has been playing some stellar football so far this season.

While the Ducks have a short turnaround this week with a game against the Purdue Boilermakers on Friday night after a massive win over the Buckeyes, Illinois faces a tough test, with a top-25 matchup against the No. 24 Michigan Wolverines.

With a win, the Fighting Illini could buoy up into the top 20 of the rankings, making this all the more intriguing of a matchup in Eugene.
