Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels duels evenly with MVP Lamar Jackson in Week 6 loss to Ravens

One of the most hyped up games of the season fully lived up to the expectations in big ways thanks in part to the two quarterbacks that were on showcase in this week 6 tilt between the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders. It was impressive to see rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels go blow for blow with the two time MVP Lamar Jackson and display what two elite quarterbacks can do on the same field.

At times, it was hard to tell which quarterback was the rookie, as both teams’ offenses looked absolutely spectacular behind their super-talented signal callers. Daniels finished the afternoon with 24 of 35 completions for 269 yards and 2 passing touchdowns. Daniels also punctuated the day with 22 yards on the ground on 6 carries to lead the team in rushing against a brutally tough run defense.

After being down 27-13 late in the fourth quarterback, Daniels almost completed an impressive comeback, finishing the game within one score at 30-23 when the clocks struck zero. Daniels is proving time and time again to be a true rookie phenom and has already established himself as one of the league’s premiere quarterbacks in just 6 starts. Expect to see Daniels guide this team to the playoffs and defy all expectations all season long with the way that he is playing.
