Notre Dame is in great position to flip a Big Ten 2025 in-state commitment

The Irish could soon flip the Big Ten commit

As had been reported late last week, in-state 2025 offensive lineman [autotag]Cameron Herron[/autotag] was taking an official visit to South Bend to see Notre Dame host Stanford.

The Irish are pretty straightforward when it comes to recruiting, when they bring in a local star later in the process, the intentions are simple. Get this young man to stay home and play for the Blue and Gold.

While Herron is committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes, it didn’t stop the 6-foot, 3-inch and 275-pounder to visit his home state school. It seems like the short trip went extremely well, as on Sunday night On3’s Steve Wiltfong put in a prediction for the nation’s No. 473 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings to flip to Notre Dame.

Herron fits everything that the Irish are looking for in a prospect, strong academically (he also has offers from Duke and Northwestern) and athletically. Hopefully the lineman flips his commitment and stays home to play for Notre Dame.
