What did Lamar Jackson say to Jayden Daniels after Sunday’s game?

What did Lamar Jackson say to Jayden Daniels when they met at midfield?

There was a lot of hype about Sunday’s matchup between the Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens. Much of that hype surrounded Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels.

While Daniels has praised Jackson over the years and admitted he’s a fan of his game, he also was tired of the comparisons. Daniels respects Jackson but prefers to be the next Jayden Daniels, not the next Lamar Jackson or any other successful quarterback.

“Yeah, I think it’s, you go out there and just appreciate each individual for who they are,” Daniels said last week. “So, I don’t like when people really like try to compare me to Lamar and vice versa. We’re two different players, and just go out there, just appreciate what the quarterback players being played. So that’s what I try to do, is just appreciate everybody for who they are.”

Jackson and the Ravens defeated the Commanders on Sunday, 30-23, but both quarterbacks were outstanding. Afterward, Jackson and Daniels spoke at midfield and embraced.

So, what did the two-time MVP say to the Rookie of the Year favorite?

“I need that jersey,” Jackson told Tracy Wolfson of CBS after the game.

Jackson, always humble, praised Daniels for his excellent play this early into his NFL career, saying the “sky’s the limit” for the Commanders’ rookie.
