Indianapolis Colts DE Dayo Odeyingbo questionable to return vs. Titans

Indianapolis Colts’ DE Dayo Odeyingbo is questionable to return against the Titans with a hamstring injury.

Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo is questionable to return with a hamstring injury that he sustained in the first half of the team’s Week 6 matchup with the Tennessee Titans.

Update: According to the Indy Star’s Joel Erickson, Odeyingbo was back on the field at the beginning of the third quarter for a third down play.

As Erickson mentions, the Colts have already dealt with several injuries this season at the defensive end position. They’ve been without Samson Ebukam for the entire year, Tyquan Lewis has been on injured reserve the last two weeks, and Kwity Paye just returned this week after missing two games.

Odeyingbo’s 13 pressures are the most on the team this season. Out of 128 eligible edge defenders by Pro Football Focus’ metrics, Odeyingbo ranks tied for 28th in run defense stops as well.

Although most of Odeyingbo’s snaps have come lined up as a traditional defensive end, he does give defensive coordinator Gus Bradley the flexibility to move him inside when needed–which is something we seen here and there in most games this season.

With Odeyingbo out for at least the time being, the Colts have Kwity Paye and Laiatu Latu to lean on heavily, along with Isaiah Land and Adam Gotsis.

Please note that his post will be updated as new information about Odeyingbo’s status for the remainder of this game is reported.
