Three Washington opponents sit in the top 20 of Week 7’s US LBM Coaches Poll

Washington has three opponents on the Week 7 installment of the US LBM Coaches Poll.

After an ugly 40-16 loss at the hands of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Washington Huskies fans won’t find their team anywhere near the Week Seven installment of the US LBM Coaches Poll. Iowa’s rise from five votes to 12 following their beatdown of the Huskies shows how the voters view Fisch’s team, and it will only get tougher moving forward.

Following their bye week, the Huskies will travel to Bloomington for a matchup with the No. 18 Indiana Hoosiers, who host quarterback Dylan Raiola, and the No. 25 Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday, October 19.

The schedule gets much tougher in November when the Huskies have to hit the road twice to take on two members in the top three spots of the poll. First, they’ll have to take on the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions, who are coming off an overtime victory on the road against USC, for their annual “White Out” game.

Then, Washington ends the season with a trip to face off with the No. 2 Oregon Ducks, who received two first-place votes after taking down the now No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes at Autzen Stadium on Saturday.

Here’s what the rest of the top 25 looks like.
