Indianapolis Colts scout(s) in attendance at Ohio State at Oregon

A big-time college matchup is taking place on Saturday between Ohio State and Oregon, and the Indianapolis Colts have scout(s) in attendance.

The Indianapolis Colts were one of a number of teams with at least one scout on hand for the heavyweight matchup between Ohio State and Oregon.

Of course, in a matchup between the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the nation, there is going to be a lot of attention.

According to Ryan Fowler of Bleacher Report, along with the Colts, there were 14 NFL teams with scouts in attendance at this game. A few of the other teams included the Seahawks, Broncos, Eagles, and Jets.

NFL teams sending scouts to college football games is a regular occurrence throughout the season. In fact, this wasn’t even the only game this weekend where the Colts had representatives at the game.

Fowler also noted that the Colts were at Georgia vs. Mississippi State and FIU vs. Liberty.

With help from Pro Football Focus’ early 2025 big board, here are some of the top draft-eligible prospects playing in this game that may have had the attention of the Colts’ personnel department:

WR Emeka Egbuka (Ohio State)
DE Jack Sawyer (Ohio State)
RB Quinshon Judkins (Ohio State)
OT Josh Simmons (Ohio State)
CB Denzel Burke (Ohio State)
DE JT Tuimoloau (Ohio State)
S Lathan Ransom (Ohio State)
RB TreVeyon Henderson (Ohio State)
IDL Tyleik Williams (Ohio State)
IOL Donovan Jackson (Ohio State)
WR Evan Stewart (Oregon)
OT Josh Conerly (Oregon)
OT Ajani Cornelius (Oregon)
CB Jabbar Muhammad (Oregon)
TE Terrance Ferguson (Oregon)
QB Dillon Gabriel (Oregon)
WR Tez Johnson (Oregon)
RB Jordan James (Oregon)

The obvious caveat at this stage of the pre-draft process is that a lot is going to change between now and late-April. Players will move up and down draft boards and depending on how the rest of the season as well as free agency unfolds for the Colts, their positional needs could change as well.

With that said, some positions of need at the moment include cornerback, safety, tight end, running back, and defensive tackle depth.
