The Denver Broncos had a busy Saturday ahead of their showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
First, the Broncos placed wide receiver Josh Reynolds (finger surgery) and center Luke Wattenberg (ankle) on injured reserve, ruling them out for at least the next four games. Alex Forsyth will start in Wattenberg’s place at center and receiver Devaughn Vele is now expected to be active on game days.
To fill the active roster spots formerly held by Reynolds and Wattenberg, Denver activated running back Audric Estime (ankle) from injured reserve and promoted safety Tanner McCalister from the practice squad.
Finally, the Broncos also elevated offensive tackle Cam Fleming and guard/center Calvin Throckmorton from the practice squad to the game-day roster for Week 6. They will revert back to the practice squad on Monday.
