Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has taken the league by storm in 2024, and Pepsi has taken notice … again. For the fourth time in five games, Daniels has been named the Pepsi Rookie of the Week.

Over five games, Daniels has completed 101 of 131 attempted passes for 1,135 yards and four touchdowns with just two interceptions. He’s also rushed 57 times for 300 yards and four additional touchdowns with two fumbles.
Of the Commanders’ 2,025 offensive yards, Daniels is responsible for 1,435. That’s an incredible percentage, and it’s why he has the entire league’s attention.
However, Dan Quinn must consider making some changes because this type of offense isn’t sustainable. It’s working right now and might even work again next year, but Daniels’ body will eventually force him to slow down.
Still, the Commanders are winning, and everyone loves Daniels’s work. The locker room supports him, loves how humble yet confident he is, and finds him so much fun to watch on the field.
To be named the Pepsi Rookie of the Week one time is an honor by itself, and Daniels has done it four times — in five weeks. [lawrence-related id=103789,103792,103768]
