Comcast ends Big Ten Network blackout

Washington fans with Xfinity will finally be able to watch the Huskies.

It only took half of the regular season, but Washington Huskies fans and Xfinity customers living on the West Coast can finally watch the Big Ten Network. On Thursday morning, the company released this statement:

“We’re pleased the Big Ten Network will be available to Xfinity TV customers who subscribe to the Popular TV package in Oregon, Washington, and California in time for the action this weekend.”

It took way too long to get this deal done, but it got done at a great time for Washington fans. Even though the team’s next game against Iowa is in Fox’s Big Noon slot, the Huskies will appear on the Big Ten Network at least one more time this season, as all 18 teams are required to play at least one conference game on the network.

The men’s basketball team also released its full television schedule on Wednesday, which will include 17 games on the network and three more on the conference’s streaming service, Big Ten+.
