Kyle Hamilton gets blunt about the Ravens struggles in the secondary

Kyle Hamilton: “At least as a secondary, being as blunt as possible, we’ve kind of plateaued”

The Baltimore Ravens are 3-2 this season because the offense has been just plain carrying the team. The Ravens rank first or second in almost every major statistical category on offense right now.

The defense has taken a step back, as the secondary has been woeful. The Ravens rank second to last in the NFL in pass defense.

Star strong safety Kyle Hamilton was candid with the media about this topic.

“At least as a secondary, being as blunt as possible, we’ve kind of plateaued in our getting better throughout the season,” he said.

“We’ve had good weeks with Buffalo and bad weeks like this week. It’s up to us to fix that.”

In Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow, the Ravens have faced three of the league’s top-tier quarterbacks during their first five games.

Hamilton says they can get it right if they get back to basics.

“I think most of our problems is nothing structural, it’s fundamental stuff,” the All-Pro continued on.

“We’ve got to tackle, get off blocks, we’ve got to communicate. We’ve been saying this for five weeks now. It’s time to start actually doing it, not coming up here and just saying it.”
