A look at Alabama vs. South Carolina head-to-head football history

The Crimson Tide and Gamecocks meet once again Saturday.

On Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa, the Alabama Crimson Tide will host a SEC team that they are not too familiar with in recent years when the South Carolina Gamecocks come to town.

A head-to-head series where Alabama owns a 13-3 all-time advantage dating back to 1937, the Crimson Tide and Gamecocks have met only once since their famous 2010 meeting in Columbia, which came in 2019. That 2019 contest was also in Columbia, with Alabama leaving with a 47-23 win behind a 400+ yard and five touchdown showing from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The two teams who played only three times during the Nick Saban era, with the lone contest over that span to take place in Tuscaloosa coming back in 2009. Alabama won that game by a final score of 20-6, with South Carolina getting their revenge the next season in Columbia.

A matchup that Alabama has simply owned historically, especially in the early days, will the Crimson Tide win their second-straight over South Carolina on Saturday?
