Duke football’s Friday night battle with Florida State remains slated for ESPN2

The ACC announced its Week 8 television schedule on Monday, and Duke is still slated to play Florida State in front of a national audience.

The ACC officially announced its television schedule for Week 8 of the college football season on Monday, and the Blue Devils are still slated to face the Florida State Seminoles on national television.

The conference foes will play on Friday, October 18, at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time, and fans can watch Duke on ESPN2.

The broadcast information remains the same as when it was first announced in May, but in fairness, that was before the reigning conference champions got off to a 1-5 start.

After 23 wins in 2022-23, including a perfect 12-0 regular season last fall, Florida State looks vulnerable in all four facets of the game. The FSU offense is averaging 273.5 total yards per game, a full 65 yards behind the second-worst offense in the ACC, and the secondary surrenders 8.0 yards per attempt through the air.

The Blue Devils lost their first game of the season on Saturday, a 24-14 loss to Georgia Tech that featured two Yellow Jackets touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Duke won’t play again until next Friday, which should help given the fact that some members of the defense played more than 60 snaps due to a lack of depth.
