The SEC on Monday provided an update on kickoff times for its Weeks 8 games, including the Kentucky Wildcats’ SEC showdown against the Florida Gators on Oct. 19 in Gainesville.
The Wildcats (3-2) and Gators (3-2) will kick off under the lights of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in “The Swamp” at 7:45 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on SEC Network.
It will mark the second straight week that Kentucky earns the prime time SEC Network kickoff; the Wildcats host the Vanderbilt Commodores at Kroger Field this Saturday at 7:45 p.m.

This year’s contest will mark the 75th head-to-head meeting between the two SEC rivals. Florida leads the all-time series 53-21 but the Wildcats have won the last three meetings against the Gators, including last year’s 33-14 victory in Lexington.
A Kentucky win against Florida this year would tie their longest winning streak in the series’ history. The Wildcats previously won four straight against the Gators from 1948-51.
Kentucky is coming off a bye week after earning a 20-17 upset victory over the previously fifth-ranked Ole Miss Rebels on Sept. 28 in Oxford. Florida defeated UCF, 24-13, over the weekend in Gainesville for their second straight win.
