The Washington Huskies pulled off an impressive victory over the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday night, beating the No. 10 team in the country 27-17 in a rematch of January’s national championship. In the first win over a top-10 team of coach Jedd Fisch’s career, the Huskies played their best game yet in his brief Husky tenure.

Although quarterback Will Rogers threw his first interception of the season, he played a very strong game, throwing for 271 yards and 2 touchdowns, one to Denzel Boston and another to Giles Jackson. Running back Jonah Coleman also continued to look like one of the best running backs in the Big Ten, picking up 80 yards and a touchdown against one of the nation’s best rush defenses.

Defensive coordinator Steve Belichick put together a masterful performance, holding the Wolverines to 113 yards passing between quarterbacks Alex Orji and Jack Tuttle. The Huskies also forced two turnovers, with defensive tackle Logan Sagapolu recovering a fumble, and safety Kamren Fabiculanan hauling in his first interception of the season.
