Kentucky receives votes in US LBM Coaches Poll after the bye week

Kentucky football is still receiving votes in the US LBM Coaches Poll after a bye in week six.

Kentucky football got a much needed bye this week coming off of their big upset win over Ole Miss. They are preparing for Vanderbilt, and watching the other action around the SEC. After the week six action, they once again got some votes in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

The Wildcats received votes once again this week after being idle. They received less voted, just 12 instead of the 17 they received last week. However, they came in higher in the rankings, 31st, compared to 33rd last week.

The SEC as a whole remains very strong in the rankings, though the Alabama Crimson Tide and Tennessee Volunteers tumbled after losing to Vanderbilt and Arkansas respectively. The conference still has seven of the top ten teams, and ten of the top 25.

Kentucky plays Vanderbilt in week seven, fresh off their huge win. If the Cats can build on their momentum, and beat the Commodores, they might break into the top 25 next week.
