Washington sends Michigan tumbling down Week 6 US LBM Coaches Poll

The Washington Huskies sent Michigan falling down the US LBM Coaches Poll after their 27-17 victory on Saturday night.

The Washington Huskies didn’t find themselves in the US LBM Coaches Poll following their 27-17 victory over the Michigan Wolverines, but will most likely enjoy the updated rankings after Saturday’s national championship rematch.

Not only did Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide slide down to No. 7 following a 40-35 loss to Vanderbilt on Saturday, but coach Jedd Fisch’s team knocked the Wolverines down 11 spots to No. 21.

Now, Washington will prepare to go on the road for a matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes, who sit just below them in the “others receiving votes” category. Following a thorough 35-7 beatdown at the hands of the Ohio State Buckeyes, coach Kirk Ferentz’s team received just two votes, while the Huskies returned to the bottom of the list with five votes.

After Fisch’s team seemed to finally play up to its potential inside Husky Stadium, the poll should also leave fans wondering how high the Huskies could have climbed if they were able to pull off victories in one-possession games against Washington State and Rutgers.
