Michigan State women’s soccer came into Saturday night ranked as the No. 5 team in the nation, playing host to their rivals Michigan, sporting an undefeated 8-0-4 record. In front of a sold out crowd the Spartans were able to knock off the Wolverines, 1-0, maintaining their undefeated record.

At the 75:16 mark in the contest, it was Spartans senior Justina Gaynor netted a penalty kick, scoring the lone goal in the contest. Watch the goal by clicking here.

The Spartans will look to continue their impressive 2024 season with a west coast road trip to face Oregon and Washington next weekend.
