Jerod Mayo responds to ‘mutiny’ in Patriots locker room comments

Is there “mutiny” in the Patriots’ locker room? Coach Jerod Mayo responds…

New England Patriots coach Jerod Mayo swatted down a comment that there was mutiny in the Patriots’ locker room.

Patriots.com’s Evan Lazar commented on the potential “mutiny” in the locker room, before later walking back those comments during a radio appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub.

The team is struggling, as they currently sit at 1-3 on the season after an ugly 30-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Most of the issues have been on the offensive side of the ball with a banged-up offensive line and a passing attack that ranks dead last in the NFL.

“My focus is definitely on the Dolphins 100%. I haven’t heard that, that’s journalism for you. I haven’t heard that…I try not to pay attention to that stuff. You’d have to ask him,” Mayo said, via 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Alex Barth.

Lazar was right about one thing: things have not been smooth sailing for the Patriots in recent weeks. They’ve lost their last three straight games, and the key injuries are piling up.

We’ll see if they can knock off the Dolphins and get back on track.
