Jets’ Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson would welcome Davante Adams trade

The New York Jets have finally had a chance to chat about Davante Adams after finally touching down in London.

The Jets (2-2) will suit up against the Minnesota Vikings (4-0) across the pond in Week 5. Players finally chatted to the media and some of the team’s top talents on offense have now discussed the trade speculation.

Adams, 31, wants to be traded by his current team the Las Vegas Raiders. New York was quickly connected as Adams reportedly wants to play with one of his two former QBs he’s had in the NFL.

Speaking of that, Aaron Rodgers is one of them. Rodgers’ thoughts on Adams eventually wearing the green and white were not all that surprising.

He’s into the idea.

“I don’t know how much I can say about it because of tampering, but I still have a close friendship with him. Spend time in the offseason together,” Rodgers said via video conference.” Great guy, a great player, the rest of that is out of my hands.”

A more interesting commentary is the one of Garrett Wilson. He is currently the Jets’ No. 1 receiver and if Adams ends up in New York, Wilson would no longer be.

Even so, Wilson is fine with that.

“That would be cool,” Wilson said “If someone can help us win, let’s do it.”

A humbled response from Wilson.

Wilson’s full thoughts can be found in the SNY clip below:
