It might not be a proper game against a different school, but Duke basketball fans finally saw [autotag]Cooper Flagg[/autotag] and the 2024-25 Blue Devils in action on Friday night.
Flagg, freshman 7-footer Khaman Maluach, and the rest of the team suited up in front of the Cameron Indoor Stadium crowd at the Countdown to Craziness, playing two 10-minute scrimmages.
The top-ranked freshman made a few impressive plays on the offensive end, but fellow five-stars Kon Knueppel and Isaiah Evans showed their prowess with basket after basket on the offensive end. Maluach dominated the second of the two games, and returning sophomore Caleb Foster scored 14 points over the final 10 minutes.
The Cameron Crazies also got their first look at the three major transfers: Sion James from Tulane, Maliq Brown from Syracuse, and Mason Gillis from Purdue.
