Texas A&M (4-1, 2-0 SEC) will head back to Kyle Field for a Week 6 showdown against the undefeated Missouri Tigers, who are coming off a bye week. After defeating Arkansas 21-17 last weekend, the Aggies are looking to ride the second-half momentum that led them to the win.
This week, head coach Mike Elko stated that quarterback Conner Weigman, who has missed the last three games, returned to practice in a limited fashion and will be a game-time decision for the third consecutive. At the same time, redshirt freshman Marcel Reed is poised to make his fourth consecutive start.
Currently 3-0 as a starter, Reed has thrown for nearly 600 yards and run for over 200 yards, accounting for eight touchdowns this season. While his dual-threat ability looks like a better fit for OC Collin Klein’s offense, he’ll need to be more accurate in the pocket, especially if Missouri’s defense stops the run early.
Looking at the running list of recruiting visitors and current 2025 commits who will descend on College Station this weekend, Elko and his staff know that a good performance will help the program’s recruiting efforts. Here is that list.
