Cardinals re-sign familiar face on defensive line

The Cardinals announced the signing of defensive lineman Ben Stille to the practice squad after three games with Tampa Bay.

The Arizona Cardinals, dealing with injuries on the defensive line, have added a player to the practice squad many will recognize. They announced the signing of Ben Stille to the practice squad on Thursday.

Stille spent last season between the practice squad and active roster and was with the team throughout the offseason and preseason.

He signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and appeared in three games before being released.

The Cardinals lost defensive lineman Justin Jones for the remainder of the season with a triceps tear and Khyiris Tonga missed last week’s game with a knee injury. Angelo Blackson was signed to the practice squad and elevated to play in Sunday’s game, but he got hurt and landed on the practice squad injured reserve.

He had eight tackles and a sack in five games for the Cardinals last year.
