Washington offers 2025 WR after Florida State decommitment

The Washington Huskies are still looking to add talent to the 2025 class.

Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies coaching staff are relentless on the recruiting trail. Even though the 2025 class holds 27 commits, including four wide receivers, that didn’t stop wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings from extending a scholarship offer to four-star wide receiver Malik Clark.

The nation’s No. 24 wide receiver and No. 212 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports, decommitted from Florida State on Tuesday and picked up offers from the Huskies and Colorado shortly after.

A product of Rock Hill, South Carolina, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect has a high ceiling and looks like he could be a promising playmaker at the next level.

“He’s at his best when he’s attacking the deeper parts of the field as he streaks down the sideline and keeps defenders on their heels,” 247Sports’ director of scouting Andrew Ivins said in his evaluation of Clark. “He will create separation with dynamic cuts but could get a little more efficient with his footwork.”

“He’s quick to locate the football once it’s airborne, gearing down or up to secure the prize. However, he doesn’t have a ton of contested catches on the highlight reel. Additional mass could not only make him more effective in 50-50 situations but also help him as a blocker. Overall, he should be viewed as a potential multi-year impact player at the Power Four level with legitimate NFL upside. He will likely need some time to find his bearings, but is one of the best in the 2025 cycle when it comes to challenging coverages at both the second and third levels.”

Clark holds 38 offers and may not have the Huskies very high on his list at the moment, but Fisch’s coaching staff has done an impressive job securing visitors from all over the country, and it’s nothing if not relentless.
